BAKED FISH DISH

Ingredients:

  • 1.2 kg carp filets
  • 3-4 big onions, sliced
  • 500 g fresh tomatoes, sliced
  • 3 bell or mild peppers, sliced
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 5-6 garlic cloves, sliced
  • 200 ml oil
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 150 ml dry white wine
  • ground black pepper

Directions:

Fry onion, bell peppers and bay in hot oil for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until onion becomes transparent or slightly golden. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, garlic and wine. Simmer for about 15 minutes.
Add salt and ground pepper.
Put the fish filets in an oven tray, cover with the vegetable stew, and bake for 20 minutes.
Tip: ideal prepared with carp, but you can use any big fresh water fish filets. It can be served warm or cold with a glass of good dry white wine.
