BAKED MAIZE MASH BALLS
- 1.6 I milk
- 300 g sheep feta cheese
- 200 g butter
- 400 g ground maize (maize flour)
Mix well maize, milk and some salt, in a thick bottom pot. Set to boil and stir continuously. When bubbling, continue boiling and stirring for
another 10 minutes. Tipple maize mash over a wooden board; wait until it chills and hardens, Form mash balls with your hands. Mix cheese with half of the butter. Stuff the inside of the mash balls with some cheese mixture, and grease the surface of the mash balls with butter. Set on buttered oven tray and bake for about 10 minutes until lightly golden. Serve hot with onion and sour cream.
Tip: you can add inside the balls a hard boiled egg, shells off.
