Moussaka is a culinary specialty in cuisine of the Balkan countries and the Far East.The word comes from Arabic and means served cold. Traditionally, moussaka is prepared from layers of minced (or chopped with a knife) lamb or other red meat, alternating with slices of roasted eggplant or potato .
I love these kind of food , it`s my favorite meal , i`ve learned it from my mom . Even if i respect all the steps that my mom do , the taste is not the same ( LOL ) . It seams that my experience in cooking it`s not yet like my mom`s :)) . I`ll just have to cook more and in time i will be proud of me:D . But i like how it`s work out for me 😀 I`ll hope that you will love it too .
- 1 kg minced pork neck
- 7 large potatoes sliced
- 2 eggs
- 150 g grated mozzarella
- 1/2 l milk
- 2 medium onions
- green or dry dill
- salt and pepper to taste
- sweet red paprika
- ingredients for baked potatoes
- 3 large tablespoons of flour
1.Cut the 2 onions and fry them , then add meat and fry it too with the onions . Let the meat to cool . Add one egg to bind the mixture . Sprinkle the sweet red paprika to give color , the green dill and the salt with pepper for taste .
2.Fry the sliced potatoes . If you want you can put salt on the potatoes too .
3.Grease a pan with a little oil and then sprinkle breadcrumbs . Then we can put the fry potatoes in it like a blanket . Now we can put the meat composition harmonizing it over the slices potatoes . Lay upon the second shift of potatoes .
4.Now you can make the mixture of ingredients for baked potatoes , one egg , 1/2 l milk , 2 large tablespoons of flour . Add these mixture on the pan and now its ready to put it on the oven .
5.Let it like 30 minutes to bake and the you can sprinkle the mozzarella and let 5 more minutes . And that`s it 😀
