Mozzarella Cheese Filled Hearts – with Roasted Red Pepper Pesto

These heart shaped appetizers are great to  start to your Valentine meal.I don`t know what i`m going to do on Valentine`s Day so this idea is pretty cute if i`m going to stai at home :P…it will be a nice surprise for my boyfriend:D
This recipe is so easy to make , you only need 1 refrigerated pie crust , some slices of mozzarella cheese and 1 egg white . Use a heart cutter , the big one to cut the pie crust and the small one for the mozzarella cheese slices. [expand title=”” trigpos=”below”]
Cut one piece from the pie crust and try to fit it in your oven tray . Do the math to see how many hearts you’ll need to fill the tray . Duplicate the number of the dough hearts , in this way you will know how many hearts you will have . Brush one with egg white , place a mozzarella cheese heart in the center , top it with a second dough heart , press the edges of the dough together with your fingers and then with a fork . Repeat the process until you’ve finished all the hearts .
Place them on a baking sheet in the trey and sprinkle some parmesan cheese over the top of each heart . All done !
Now let them freeze for 15-20 min , meanwhile , preheat your oven to 400 degrees . Bake these for 8-12 minutes until they are golden brown .
Use what sauce you like more to eat them with .
